Each of my prints is based on one of my original watercolor characters. This one is Fiona, a magical little bluebird who lives at the top of the tallest tree in a secret forest. Her nest is woven from gold ribbons, twigs, stars, and bluebird spells. She raises chicks who hide magic stars filled with good wishes in backyards all over the world.
For the original, I used watercolor and gouache on smooth, hot-pressed, 140-lb. watercolor paper. For the final printing, I scan the original and manually adjust the digital image to make an exact color match. Each card is printed on high-quality, acid-free matte paper and archival inks. All art is hand-signed.
